Although fire extinguishers are required on board, they may not always be within reach and can be difficult to operate. The Fire`s Out! Galley Fire Blanket is a 36-inch-by-36-inch square made of fire-resistant fibers that will quickly snuff out grease, oil and electrical fires once it is placed over flames, and it won`t leave a foamy mess behind. Once its red pouch housing is mounted, the blanket can be deployed easily. A larger Industrial version can be kept in the engine room.
